Thailand 🇹🇭

Thailand, the Land of Smiles, beckons travellers with its blend of breathtaking natural beauty, legendary hospitality and vibrant culture. From bustling metropolitan hubs to serene island escapes to sacred temple runs, this Southeast Asian gem offers unforgettable adventures.
Whether you’re wandering the buzzing streets of Bangkok, exploring the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya, reflecting on history along the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, relaxing on the tranquil beaches of Khao Lak, or strolling through the colourful shophouses and lively markets of Phuket Old Town, Thailand promises a rich and varied experience.
Immerse yourself in its deep-rooted traditions, colorful festivals and ornate temples. Savour world-famous Thai cuisine, from fiery street food to delicate curries and above all, feel the warmth of a culture known for its genuine smiles and hospitality.
The best time to visit would be between November and February where it is the cool and dry season with pleasant temperatures and low humidity. March and April can be hot especially in cities but are great for beach holidays. The rainy season typically runs from May to October but showers are often brief.
Below are my adventures thus far and I'll be adding more along the way.

Do note the following cultural etiquettes.
The Wai is a traditional Thai greeting which involves the pressing of palms together in a prayer-like gesture and bowing slightly. While foreigners are not expected to initiate, returning a 'wai' is appreciated.
Dress modestly especially when you're visiting temples or sacred sites. Ensure that your shoulders and knees are covered.
Remove your shoes before entering temples, private homes and when you see signs that require the removal of shoes before entry.
The Thai Royal Family is deeply revered. Always speak respectfully about them and avoid any actions or comments that could be viewed as disrespectful. This includes the handling of the Thai currency which bears the image of the King.
The head is considered the most sacred part of the body and the feet the lowest. Avoid touching anyone's head and never point your feet at a person, a Buddha image or religious objects.
Lastly, smile! Thailand is known as the 'Land of Smiles'. 🙂
